Blogger's being stubborn again and won't let me upload pictures, so instead here is the infamous Arrested Development episode where Fox made the show censor the mention of Veronica Mars (you'll have to sit throw another funny censorship moment) courtesy of YouTube. Of course the younger Bluths were guests on the latter episode of Veronica Mars last night. I asked Rob Thomas about the shoutout and he was honored that a great show mentioned them , but really didn't say much on the censoring. And he also loved working with the younger Bluths who will hopefully be back next season.
Yet another video dedicated to the most entertaining character on television hit YouTube recently so I though I'd pass that onto you. Although I'm still waiting for someone to compile the greatest Dickisms together.
No Evil Beaver this week, or was there. Of course at the end of the episode, Veronica finds the explosives in Mayor Goodwood's hangar which one can assume that they were planted there by Beaver who obviously can get in as he planted a bomb on his plane.
Even though no Evil Beaver, there was plenty of Dick, including one of my favorite of his scenes after he "nailed" Vee. Granted he remembered her taller and less upity. Classic Dick. I can't want until Ronnie starts sporting an "I (Heart) Dick" t-shirt.
But this episode was about the Kristen Cavallari, the evil lesbian, or should I call her Rick Santorum (seriously, am I the only one that caught that?). Also I'm sure if you look through my archives, you can find a few larger promotional picture of the chick from Laguna Beach courtesy of UPN/WB.
But nobody can out Queen-B Madison Sinclair who tormented Cavallari's girlfriend, although I have to say curls are not her best look.
All I have to say here is awwwwwwwwwwww. Plus I'm for anything that keeps Vee and Logan apart. I know I've said this before, but I hope Hannah comes back from Vermont this season.
This last cap is from the S.H.I.P. website. You really need to click on the picture to enlarge. The first couple entries seem normal for a gay message board, but check out the last two topics.
I'm not entirely sure if I have shared this story yet, but the PCH hangout, first seen during the White Castle episode, is actually on the lot that Veronica Mars films on. If you look above Thumper's hea, that is the same place as the picture below. In fact if you look closely when they are filming in the lunch area, you may even be albe to see the structure below.
Some decent episodes are airing tonight with the Winter Carnaval with the great scene with Veronica going "Tah-Da" after getting the one dude to confess. The second one is noteworthy just because the chick from Laguna Beach shows up as a lesbian, which ranks very high on the unintentional comedy scale.
Here's another look at the result of the bad rain from a couple weeks ago I talked about in the last post.
On the Veronica Mars front, UPN are showing two episodes tonight. It's nice that they will get in the whole season this summer unlike last summer when they had to cut a couple episodes out because of time restraints, but I really can't argue with not wanting to reshow the Paris Hilton episode.
The first episode is the one with Vice Principal Clemmons Makivellian turn, the second was one a the few stand alone episode with Veronica on jury duty. But I do recall Thumper making a cameo so it should be instesting to see that again knowing what we know now about him.
I thought I take a rare diversion from my usual pictures of my visit to the set of Veronica Mars and show a more personal picture. A couple weeks ago, we had a rain here so bad, a river showed up in my backyard. Now I'm in a fairly high area, so this was a pretty creepy sight and this first time I ever witnessed a thing like this. Even today, the back corner by the tree is still a little soggy.
I spent too much time on my Emmys post over at the 9th Green, so why don't you head over there tro check that out because I don't have time to throw something together for this site. Unfortunately there is no Veronica Mars anywhere, but check it out anyways.
No Beaver last night (and sadly, no Dick either) but there was plenty of forshadowing last night with Marcos and his secret on the fence antics. Granted knowing now what I knew then, it's a little creepy that Mayor Goodwood could turn all the boys if not a little gay with the fully gay Peter and the can't get it up with conscience girls Beaver. Well here are a couple of my favorite screen shots from last night's episode:
Since the end of the season, I've talked a lot about Evil Beaver, but I totally forgot about Evil Veronica. Oddly, much like Evil Lana on Smallville, I find Evil Veronica somewhat more attractive than her real counterpart.
Hopefully with the Emmy nominations tomorrow, they saw this scene, because this one, along with numerous other scenes, should warrant Kristen Bell a nod.
Maybe not an Emmy worthy scene, but the look these too gave when Clemmons opened his door in a bathrobe was priceless. One of my favorite scenes from last season. Could have only been improved had Dick been walking by and said "shocker" when he opened the door.
Just so great new for those living in Southern California or those already planning to go to Comic Con; cast and crew of Veronica Mars will be Q&A panel there on Saturday July 22nd from 4:30 to 5:30. Creator Rob Thomas and stars Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, and Michael Muhney are all scheduled to appear. The panel will be moderated by some dude from TVGuide.com. So check out the Comic Con website if you are interested in attending. Unfortunately on account that I'm dirt poor, it doesn't look like I will be able to attend unless there is a viewer with more money than they know what to do with wants to send me there. Hey, if you send me there, that means more pictures for this site. Warren Buffet, where are you?
Unfortunately, Veronica Mars wasn't on the other side of the door, but here is the entrance to the Mars apartment. On the other side, basically nothing but a backdrop with a horizon painted on it. Also don't forget to turn in tonight with one of the best episodes of this last season, with the great titled, Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner.
Last week I showed a close up look at Keith's movie collection, here is a zoomed out view of the shelves that those movies were on. Notice all the trophies Keith has amassed despite being on a not so good softball team. Hopefully I can get another visit to the set of Veronica Mars so I can get a better look at them to see what he won them for. It's also interesting that he could have a school bus bookend on the shelf below the trophies.
