Nevermind the Buttocks Redux

Not-Kendall

Now Evil Beaver this week and basically this episode was just one big red-herring as they try to make the Not-Kendall and the Fitzpatrick clan as the culprits. What struck me about this picture was how 80's Not-Kendall's photo is yet the two beside her look like the were taken last week.

Bambi's Dead

I'm sure I've mentioned this story before, but when I was touring the set of Veronica Mars we came across this deer cross and prompted me to say "I have a feeling Dick was involved." I turned out to wrong, but at least a gave Rob Thomas a chuckle.

Who was the anonymous e-mailer

When I watched this episode again it made me wonder who exactly the anonymous IM'er is. I'm sure if Ronnie really wanted to know, she could find out because all she has to do is trace the Paypal account, but it still makes me wonder. Molly Fitzpatrick maybe?

The Fall Guys

One of the coolest scenes in terms of production value. Who knew Keith was such a badass?

Mac and Butters

But the best part of this episode was the start of the Mac/Butters relationship. I didn't really like Butters when he first arrived, but I came around when Vee and Mac interrupted his radio show, but this was the episode that put him over the top. I can't wait until the alterna-prom.

New Veronica Mars Promos

I can't remember if I posted this new promo for Veronica Mats yet, but here it the uber-short version (10 seconds) courtesy of . There is another promo that unfortunately hasn't made its way to YouTube yet that's on the that has new footage from the new season as well and since it's for its Tuesday night line up, there are clips for Gilmore Girls too. And just a reminder, Veronica Mars season 2 is out on DVD tomorrow.

I Am God Redux

Veronica and Evil Beaver

Evil Beaver only showed up in this scene, but he made the most of hinting his evil ways by being squirmy during Veronica's inquisition and the woe is me flashback with Cervando.

See Dick on a bike

If you look closely over Vee's shoulder you will see Dick on a bike. How I know this? Well just off to the left of Dick was where I was during the set visit of Veronica Mars. Plus I just got some official photo's from that day which I'll surely show someday.

I (Heart) Dick

Baby on board

Some more classic shirts during the dream sequence. First was the infamous "I (Heart) Dick Casablancas" shirt. It's funny that the censors wouldn't let them use the "I (Heart) Dick" shirt I showed a while ago, but the camera was cut off to the point you couldn't even see "Casablancas." Then there was Meg's "Baby on Board" which I first saw while in the makeup trailer never thinking it was going to be part of the show.

I Know who you did last summer

It may be just because I'm sophomoric, but I loved this scene especially the bareback line.

I Am God

I was a little disappointed that I Am God turned out to be a song, but the Rosebud reference did ease things.

The Big 1-0-0

This is the 100th post here at my photo blog. Yippie. But seriously I have nothing to mark the occasion. Coincidentally my sister site the 9th Green turned 500 today too so for even more excitement check that out. It's slightly more exciting than this milestone, but not by much (but there is some "Weird Al" news).

Plan B Redux

Evil Beaver 1

Evil Beaver 2

We final get are first true glimpse of Evil Beaver this week as he first gives Mac the hurt puppy dog look after she al but spread her legs in front of him. Then he gives her one of the most hurtful kiss-offs ever with his "Have fun trying to get laid" comment.

Mayor Goodwood and Logan

And maybe not so coincidentally we also get our first overtly gay vibe from Mayor Goodwood when he not so slyly cops a feel.

Shocker or Scout's Honor

But the best part of the episode (no not the dance you annoying Logan lovers) was when Ronnie tries to flash the "Shocker" sign but ends up doing the "Scouts Honor" instead.

Now that's what I call acting

And in what could possible the funniest scene in the show's history that most likely wasn't supposed to be funny was the America's Next Top Model's "acting" skills.

Goodbye Jane

This may also be the last we see of Scooter favorite Jane. I'm not sure what it says about me that my two favorite lover interests were her for Wallace and Deputy Leo for Vee. So cue up It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday for Jane, and here's hoping she made a pact with Wallace to go to Hearst before they broke up. For those keeping track at home, she's added to the already long list of Neptune graduates that I hope end up going to Hearst that include Madison Sinclair, Gia Goodman, Hannah (or at least comes back to Neptune), and of course Shelly Pomroy.

Watch This Video

If you peruse the same blogs that I do you have most likely seen this video already. Now as much as the Veronica Mars faithful will love this video, it is instead for those that haven't checked out the show yet. So if you are dragging your feet and haven't taken my recommendation yet, just spend a minute or two watching the video courtesy of . This is much better than any promo you will see on TV, so if the TV spots don't peak your interest, this might change your mind. There are only very minimal spoilers so don't worry about that if you end up watching the first two seasons.

Kristen Bell Old Navy Ad

In a story broke by Ducky a couple days ago, Kristen Bell is in a new series of Old Navy commercials and here is one of them courtesy of . There is a second one but the punk who created it disabled the embed function so if you want to see the second one (or the first one with better quality) at . I highly recommend you do so because the "date" one is hilarious with a Hootie look-a-like as Bell's dad.

The Rapes of Graff Redux

18 - It's Legal!

Yet another Evil Beaver-less episode, but it was still one of the best of the season. Though The Rapes of Graff not only granished the greatest episode title, it also has my favorite sequence of the season with the makeshift Reelect Don Lamb flyer.

Veronica and her hair
Not quite an Emmy Moment

Kristen Bell was also outstanding, no matter what the old Emmy voters think, with her coy hiding behind her hair trick and of course the look on her face after being called out on her Emmy performance.

The Frat Board

Of course we all met Iceman during this episode, but hopefully we get to meet Mr. Roofie sometime next season (look in the right column in the middle).

Screw with my head

And one can only hope Dick with yet another classic shirt here, pledges the same frat next season. One can only imagine what his nickname would be.

Hannah's last stand

And of course this was the last we saw of Hannah. Hopefully she makes it back from Vermont next season. But until then cue up It's so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.

The Quick and the Wed Redux

Beaver and Kendall

Evil Beaver actually made an appearance and this conversation should have raised some eyebrows in the elevator. But of course during the first run I guess I was too busy laughing at the "Thinking makes my breasts shrink." Watch those wandering eyes Evil Beaver. But afterwards I still don't understand why Beaver didn't want the Kane house.

Duncan's shower

I was surpised when this episode aired and people didn't realize she was doing in Duncan's shower or thought she was planting something. It was always obvious to me that she was getting some DNA for Aaron.

Vinnie Van Lowe

And for my money, whenever Vinnie Van Lowe shows up you know you are going to be in for some good laughs. Sadly Ronnie didn't take him up on his dollar draft night offer.

Hannah and Logan

One thing I notice for the first time while rewatching this episode was the lighting in this scene with Logan in the dark and Hannah covered in light. I'm sure there were a lot more scenes like this that I missed, but it's another reason why Veronica mars is a step above it competitors.

Jane

But it's nice to see Jane get her own episode. Add her to the already long list of Pirates that shows up at Hearst.

Arrested Development

Blogger's being stubborn again and won't let me upload pictures, so instead here is the infamous Arrested Development episode where Fox made the show censor the mention of Veronica Mars (you'll have to sit throw another funny censorship moment) courtesy of . Of course the younger Bluths were guests on the latter episode of Veronica Mars last night. I asked Rob Thomas about the shoutout and he was honored that a great show mentioned them , but really didn't say much on the censoring. And he also loved working with the younger Bluths who will hopefully be back next season.

Happy Birthday MTV

Over at my sister site, the 9th Green, I inducted Beavis and Butt-head into the Scooter Hall of Fame, so in honor of that I have complied some videos of my favorite clips from the show coutesy of and tomorrow I'll be back to talking about Veronica Mars and my set visit as usual.

Dick's Too Sexy

Yet another video dedicated to the most entertaining character on television hit recently so I though I'd pass that onto you. Although I'm still waiting for someone to compile the greatest Dickisms together.

Versatile Toppings Redux

Ronnie shocked

No Evil Beaver this week, or was there. Of course at the end of the episode, Veronica finds the explosives in Mayor Goodwood's hangar which one can assume that they were planted there by Beaver who obviously can get in as he planted a bomb on his plane.

Dick and Ronnie

Even though no Evil Beaver, there was plenty of Dick, including one of my favorite of his scenes after he "nailed" Vee. Granted he remembered her taller and less upity. Classic Dick. I can't want until Ronnie starts sporting an "I (Heart) Dick" t-shirt.

Kristin Cavallari the lesbian

But this episode was about the Kristen Cavallari, the evil lesbian, or should I call her Rick Santorum (seriously, am I the only one that caught that?). Also I'm sure if you look through my archives, you can find a few larger promotional picture of the chick from Laguna Beach courtesy of UPN/WB.

Madison Sinclair in curls

But nobody can out Queen-B Madison Sinclair who tormented Cavallari's girlfriend, although I have to say curls are not her best look.

Awwwwwww

All I have to say here is awwwwwwwwwwww. Plus I'm for anything that keeps Vee and Logan apart. I know I've said this before, but I hope Hannah comes back from Vermont this season.

S.H.I.P. website

This last cap is from the S.H.I.P. website. You really need to click on the picture to enlarge. The first couple entries seem normal for a gay message board, but check out the last two topics.

Ain't No Magic Mountain High Enough Redux

Winter Carnival

One of the best sand alone episodes in he series that rarely left the Winter Carnival, also known as the episode where Jackie became likeable just as her father was being charged with crashing the bus.

Jackie is a what?

And as early March when I was at the set, this graffiti was still there. But with Veronica graduating, I have a feeling it isn't around anymore. Maybe they gave it to Jackie as a gift after the season ended as a departing gift.

Trouble in paradise

We did get some into the psyche of Evil Beaver when Dick gave his big brother speech. After hear that again, I wonder if Dick was aware of the Mayor Goodwood situation.

Who's Sally

And maybe Dick and Evil Beaver made a pact that if Dick didn't spill the beans about Mayor Goodwood, Evil Beaver would keep his secret about Sally quiet. Which begs the question, who's Sally?

Madison Sinclair is back

Of course this episode saw the return of one of my favorite Neptune residents, Madison Sinclair.

Hannah the princess

But even Madison can't compare to the uber-cute Hannah. Hopefully she will come back from Vermont now that Logan graduated (but will run into Veronica a couple times).

PCH Hangout

Thumper

I'm not entirely sure if I have shared this story yet, but the PCH hangout, first seen during the White Castle episode, is actually on the lot that Veronica Mars films on. If you look above Thumper's hea, that is the same place as the picture below. In fact if you look closely when they are filming in the lunch area, you may even be albe to see the structure below.

PCH Hangout

Some decent episodes are airing tonight with the Winter Carnaval with the great scene with Veronica going "Tah-Da" after getting the one dude to confess. The second one is noteworthy just because the chick from Laguna Beach shows up as a lesbian, which ranks very high on the unintentional comedy scale.

Rashard and Wallace Go to White Castle Redux

Evil Beaver looking ver guilty

Evil Beaver only shows up in flashback this week, but in retrospect he looks very guilty and passed the whole limo thing on the predictable Dick.

Mars Investigations

Veronica in church

As much as love the stained glass windows in Mars Investigation, but the scene with Veronica in the church may be the best shot scene in the history of the series, and that says a lot.

Yoga Toga Party

While everyone was most likely looking at the story about Wallace, I instead was checking out the article on the Yoga Toga Party. Click on the picture for a closer look.

Horse's Ass

But the best part of the episode was when Ronnie realized the dude from Spoon was singing Elvis Costello's Veronica to turn around and ask Logan and Weevil if they have any experience being a horse's ass. Classic.

Donut Run Redux

True Love Stories Never Have Endings

With everything going on in the episode, Donut Run was all about this closing image. I talked to Rob Thomas about the infamous numbers and he said that they had no bad luck on Veronica Mars. But I'm a little suspicious that Duncan ended up in Australia, the place where the Lost flight left.

The Line-Up

Again with everything going on in this episode, I totally forgot this line-up that may have been the funniest thing aside from Dick consoling Ronnie by telling her what Kendall would do to Duncan what she wouldn't. I (Heart) Dick.

Zena the Warrior Princess

This episode was also special to me because it was the first one to air after starting my partnership with UPN and even got exclusive pictures including that of guest star Lucy Lawless who was great in crushing sheriff Lamb.

Veronica and Duncan

And here was the big shocker for me this season, when Veronica ended up going next door to show us she was in cahoots with Duncan the whole time. Take that Logan fans.

Bye Duncan

And here we have the last shot of Duncan, at least on American soil. Cue up It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.
